David Garrett Review And Giveaway

This Contest Has Ended The Winner Has Been Emailed.  Thank You For Your Participation!
I have always been a fan of classical music. I am convinced that it is a divinely inspired genre of music. I'm also a "think outside the box" kind of gal and I love the union of classical with other styles of music.

David Garrett has been performing sold-out classical violin shows since he was a young boy, playing with the London Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Russian National Orchestra by age 12.

I was sent David's latest CD, Rock Symphonies to review for Music Moms. I was ecstatic! First of all, he is sooo easy to look at. If he couldn't play a note I would enjoy just looking at him. He has a dark mysterious look. He reminds me of Brad Pitt in Interview With A Vampire.

Oh okay, back to the music. In the Rock Symphonies CD, David uniquely blends his classical violin skills with rock-and-roll songs. My absolute favorite is track one, where David amazingly mixes classical with Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit." Rock on! I love it!

He also does a high energy, rock arrangement of Beethoven's 5th. Along with songs from Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith, David brings a fresh and unique spin on the genre to a new generation of music lovers.

This month, PBS will air his sold-out concert performance in Berlin. But you don't have to wait until then to experience this tall drink of water, awesome CD. Rock Symphonies is available at Best Buy, on iTunes and online at Amazon.

You can also enter to win an autographed CD of Rock Symphonies right here on Team Consumer! Just leave me a comment telling me who your favorite classical composer is and who your favorite rock band is.
