Purex Complete Crystals Laundry Softner Review & Giveaway

THIS CONTEST HAS ENDED.  THE WINNER HAS BEEN EMAILED.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION.

I was recently selected as a Purex Insider.  What an honor!  Being an insider means that I have the privilege of reviewing Purex products before they come to market.  Now that is exciting!

My first product for review was the Purex Complete Crystals Softener.  I have always loved the way liquid fabric softener smells but, have also always had a problem with it staining our clothes.

I learned from Purex that most liquid fabric softeners are oil based, which means they are coated in oil.  Thus the explanation of our clothes always getting stained.
With Purex Complete Crystals I get the luxury of wonderful smelling, soft clothes, without the stains.  How was Purex able to accomplish this?  92% natural, this product's unique crystal form works differently than traditional oil-based softeners that coat fabrics with oily residue because, it infuses fibers with long-lasting fragrance.

We all love convenience.  Simply add the crystals directly into the water, at the beginning of every wash cycle for long-lasting freshness.  Voila!  No waiting for the rinse cycle and no stains!

So what did Team Consumer think of these crystals?  We love them!  The smell is fabulous, not to mention that there are three to choose from and, our clothes turned out luxuriously soft!

If you're ready for softener reinvented be sure to grab your bottle of Purex Complete Crystals Softener today!

Go2 Bras by Lipo In a Box Review/Giveaway

I am what one would consider "top heavy."  It's a blessing and a curse.  It's a blessing to  my husband  ha ha!  But a curse to me, who has the burden of carrying them around.  Not to mention, that I nursed three children.  I'm not a wealthy socialite so, surgery is not an option.  I have to rely on a good bra!

I look for a bra that offers me comfort and even better support.  I'm not too worried about it being pretty.  But if it is, that's a plus.  I need a bra that gives me a good "lift" without making my breasts look like missiles, headed straight for Iraq!  And let me tell ya, it's hard to find a bra that offers you all of these features.

If you haven't heard of Go2 Bras by Lip In a Box.  You will now!

I was sent the ANTOINETTE, "Elegance Undercover" Go2 Bra to review. This a beautiful under wire, lace bra. I like the bra. It definitely gives good lift and excellent support. I'm not a big fan of under wire so, my only requests would be that they make this one without the under wire, and offer more of their bras in bigger sizes.

Eufora International Hair Care Review & Giveaway

THIS CONTEST HAS ENDED.  THE WINNER HAS BEEN EMAILED.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION.

I love a healthy head of hair, whether it be short or long.  I believe a woman's hair is a part of her defining beauty.  We all know that it doesn't matter how much make up you put on, or how cute your outfit is.  If the hair ain't right, ain't nothin' right!

I have been a fan of a particular, professional brand of hydrating shampoo and conditioner for years.  When I find a product I like, and it works well for me, I am loyal until they quit making it.  But sometimes your hair care regimen needs a change.

It's like when you exercise and hit that plateau.  You have to change it up to continue to lose weight.  I know when my hair loves a product and when it's time for change.  And that change came a couple of weeks ago.  I was searching for different PROFESSIONAL hair care companies and happened upon eufora International.

I had never heard of them but there product line looked very interesting.  I contacted the company and they sent me their Hydrating Shampoo and Moisture Solution Conditioner to review.  And I must say that after a couple of weeks of consistent use, I am well pleased!

The first thing I do is smell a potential hair product and the shampoo and conditioner smell great, almost like some sort of candy.  After shampooing my hair it still felt great!  It wasn't all dried out and stripped of my natural hair oil.  Just so you know ladies, squeaky clean is not really a good thing.

Now I must confess that I was a little leery about the conditioner.  I prefer a heavier, thicker conditioner.  I like it super hydrating to say the least.  But I put it in my hair, let is sit while I showered and when I rinsed it out, my hair felt like silk!  I was really surprised!

As an African American I don't have to wash my hair every day because, our hair is naturally very dry.  So I limit washing my hair to 1 to 3 times a week.  With that said, it is extremely important to me, that my hair product keeps my hair silky and shiny in between washes.

Eufora's Hydrating Shampoo and Moisture Solution Conditioner definitely passed the test.  I recommend this product to all consumers and will also recommend that my stylist carry it in her salon and day spa.
WIN IT!

3 Simple Ways To Volunteer At Your Child's School

I have three children in school and one still at home.  One is in high school, one is in middle school and one just started Kindergarten.  I was very involved at school when the two oldest were in elementary.  So, I know a few things about volunteering.

In a world of busy, busy, busy, you might be wondering how to participate at your child's school, without necessarily having to carve too much time out of your already busy schedule. There are several ways to volunteer at the school and enjoy doing it too!

1) P.T.A. (Parent Teacher Association) is a great place to start.  Meetings are usually only a couple of times a month and you get to play an important part in decisions about your child's school.

2) Volunteer to help with parties.  There are many options here.  If you are a working parent and can't necessarily take the time off, volunteer to make treats for the party or to donate any items the classroom might need for it.

3)  Most schools have a carnival towards the end of the year that is after working hours.  Volunteer to help coordinate this event.  There are many areas where you can step in here.  Just check with the PTA to see where you might be needed.

There you have it, three simple ways you can volunteer at your child's school.  It's a great help to the school and helps to teach your child about volunteer work.

This blog post is part of Qlubb's Back-to-School blogger program for which I am eligible for a $15 Target gift card.

Moon Dough - It's Out Of This World

THIS CONTEST HAS ENDED.  THE WINNER HAS BEEN EMAILED.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION!

I have to confess.  I have NEVER bought my sons play dough.  My boys are five and three.  They don't destroy.  They ARE destruction! Quite frankly, I don't want to have to clean it up!

I know I will end up having to pry if off of everything.  Not to mention how it will dry out because the lids will be lost.  And there goes my money, evaporated right into thin air.

I didn't think that there was an alternative to Play Dough until, I received the opportunity from Child's Play PR, to review Moon Dough.  Now it's not really from the Moon but the features are out of this world!  Moon Dough is hypo-allergenic, wheat-free and never dries out.

Let me tell you from experience, it is EASY clean up as well.  I received the Moon Dough Barnyard play set.  Your child can create their own magical barnyard with the Moon Dough Barn play set.

Barn Features:
  • Magically mold 4 different barnyard animals; a chicken, pig, sheep and a cow
  • Mold fences that connect together to build pastures and corrals for all your animals!
  • Hay Bale Half-mold - build hay bales to stack up and feed animals for tons of fun.
  • 3 Bags of Moon Dough
  • 1 x Molding Barn, 1 x Fench Mold, 1 x Hay Bale Mold, 1 x Playmat, 3 x Bags of Moon Dough
Yes my boys made a complete mess of the dough, even though I played with them and tried to keep it neat.  They mixed colors and quite a bit ended up on the floor.  But it was just a matter of a quick sweep up and clean up was done! But it kept them busy and entertained.  They haven't stopped playing with it yet!

There are small parts that pose a chocking hazard.  So this particular product is not recommended for children under three.
